Like all fine leather products, these cases will age with time - each will age depending on how it is used. While they can stand some moisture, exposure to a lot of water will likely leave a water mark. Typical leather care is recommended.
The foam insert can be carefully removed and rinsed with warm water. We have never used soap! Please allow the foam to air dry fully before replacing back in the case. It is considerably easier to insert the foam back in the case with the bottles in place.
